MADELINE MAHER (BABYSITTER JANE) An actor, singer, designer/technician and producer who has been working professionally in the theatre since the age of 11. After graduating with a B.A. in acting and lighting design from Bennington College, Madeline worked in New York City & Los Angeles in film, TV and clubs for the likes of Woody Allen, Edward Gorey and Edgar Lansbury, Warner Brothers Television, Bob Moss and New Dramatists, Sound Factory, the Roxy, Zoo District, and more. Madeline has lived and worked in Orlando, San Francisco, Chicago, NYC, LA, and Ithaca, for and with too many wonderful professionals to count. Favorite roles include April White in Savage in Limbo, Carla Carla in the premiere of Adam Bock's Swimming in the Shallows, Babysitter Jane in the premiere of George Sapio's Oatmeal and a Cigarette, and the Boy's Band clarinet player in her first show, The Music Man. Big thanks to the OAC group for allowing me into their disturbing little world, and for reminding me why I still prefer theatre people to others after all this time. |
